How it works
Three steps.
Under a minute.
Paste a URL or drop a screenshot
Point it at any public website: Framer, Webflow, Shopify, WordPress, Next.js, custom React. We render the page in a real headless browser, so the audit sees what your visitors actually see: hydrated content, animations, and visual design.
AI analyzes every UX category
The site is scored across 8 categories: visual design, layout, navigation, copy, conversion paths, trust, accessibility, and AEO & SEO. AEO covers AI discoverability: schema.org markup, structured data, E-E-A-T signals, and the things that decide whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini surface your prospect. Each category gets a score and specific findings tied to what was actually observed.

What you get
A full UX audit
in under a minute.
Score, category breakdown, ranked fixes, projected lift. Specific to the URL you paste. Walk into discovery with it done.
Agencies charge $3K to find five fixes, then bury them in a 40-page deck. You just get the fixes.
The current headline leads with the brand name and lists 3 features. Rewrite to answer "what does my work look like after signing up?". Outcome-led heroes convert 22 to 31% better across SaaS.
"Get started" stands alone with nothing to address hesitation. Add one line below the button: "No credit card required. Cancel anytime." That removes the #1 reason users pause at this exact moment.
The first screen has zero customer logos, testimonials, or usage numbers. Adding one trust signal (e.g. "Trusted by 500+ teams") directly below the headline reduces bounce rate by reducing initial skepticism.
How we audit
We see what your eyes see.
And what the code says.
Other audit tools pick a lane: parse the HTML, or screenshot the page. Shimmer does both, and flags exactly where they disagree. A heading that's semantically correct but visually drowned out. A CTA the markup calls primary that the design hides below the fold. These mismatches are where conversions leak. They're also the issues that prove your prospect needs you.
Use cases
Before the call.
During discovery. After the pitch.
Audit prospects before outreach
Run a quick audit before reaching out. Walk into the conversation with data, not a cold pitch.
Review client sites in discovery
Skip the guesswork. Show clients exactly what's holding their site back, with scores and priorities.
Pitch SEO and AEO retainers off one report
Two service lines, one prospect call. The same audit covers both gaps, so you can sell the right retainer.
Benchmark and scope the sprint
See where the site sits today. Show projected lift before the kickoff. Make the case for the engagement.
Pitch email generator
Walk away with the email
already written.
Every audit generates a complete pitch kit: subject lines, cold email, follow-up, break-up, and a LinkedIn DM. All written in the prospect's specifics, ready to copy and send.
Subject: trellisapp.io: 3 conversion leaks worth fixing Hi Marcus, I ran trellisapp.io through a UX audit and noticed three things costing you signups: 1. Your H1 names the product, not the outcome. Visitors don't see what changes for them after signing up, which is the most common reason free trials don't start. 2. Your hero CTA stands alone with no reassurance copy. One line below the button, "No credit card required", removes the most common pause point at this exact moment. 3. Your signup form has 7 fields. Cutting to 4 (name, email, company, password) reduces friction at the highest-intent moment in the funnel. I put together a full report with specific fixes. Happy to send it over, no pitch, just the findings. Sarah

Questions
Things people ask before they upgrade.
What's in a free report?
An overall UX score (0 to 10), per-category breakdown across visual design, layout, navigation, copy, conversion strategy, trust, accessibility, and AEO/SEO (search and AI discoverability), your top 3 to 6 issues with severity and business impact, what's working well on the site, and a cold-email subject line + body you can send. Free reports stay live for 7 days.
What does Indie add?
Indie unlocks the full audit. The conversion-lift projection (with the methodology behind it), the specific fix and code example for every issue, the full outreach sequence (follow-up email, break-up email, LinkedIn DM), PDF export, and reports that never expire. Same audits, fully populated instead of previewed.
Why does my free report expire after 7 days?
Free is a preview window: long enough to evaluate the tool, short enough that you upgrade if the report is something you want to keep or send to a client. If you upgrade after the report expires, you can re-run the URL and get a fresh fully-populated report on your plan.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are billed monthly through LemonSqueezy. Manage or cancel from /account at any time. You keep access through the end of your billing period.
What is the founders deal?
The first 25 customers lock in $29/month, 40% off the standard tier, for as long as their subscription stays active. The deal ends July 1, 2026, after which the price reverts to the standard tier for new signups.
Can I send the report to my client under my own brand?
Not fully, yet. Indie PDFs include the Shimmer logo on the cover and footer. The Agency tier strips all Shimmer branding so the report ships clean, ready to pair with your own cover letter. Full white-labeling with your logo and domain is on the roadmap. Agency is currently in waitlist while we validate demand. Join the waitlist on the pricing page.
When will Agency be available?
Agency is on a waitlist while we validate demand. Join the waitlist on the Agency card to be notified when it opens. The current Indie tier already covers most freelancer and small-agency use cases. Agency adds white-label reports, scheduled monitoring, team seats, and priority support.
